Uma Bharti worships Kanaka Durga

Vijayawada, May 26 : Bharatiya Janashakti President Uma Bharti today worshipped Goddess Kanaka Durga atop Indrakeeladri here.

The temple priests welcomed her with 'poorna kumbham'. Pujas were peformed on her behalf to the goddess.

Later the devasthanam officials presented her 'prasadam', a portrait of Kanaka Durga and 'Pattu Vastrams' (silk clothes).

She then left for the Saiva Kshetram in Talaiapalem village and offered prayers to Lord Siva.

Ms Bharati arrived in the city last night as part of her 'Bharat Bachao Yatra' from Rameswaram to Kedaranath.
