Two minor girls rescued

Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) Two minor girls, who had been forced into prostitution by their relatives, were rescued yesterday from a hotel at Dahisar in north Mumbai, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, the Dahisar police arrested the accused - Yunus Mulla Khan (33) and his nephew Tarun Fakir Mandal (22) - for forcing their step-daughter (13) and sister-in-law (15) into prostitution.

The police, posing as a customer, contacted Khan who agreed to provide the 13-year-old victim for Rs 30,000 and another 15-year-old victim for Rs 60,000. A deal was struck and the girls were to be sent to a hotel in Dahisar.

The Dahisar police sent the decoy customers to the hotel, raided the place and rescued the girls. Both the accused have been arrested, police added.
