Supply officials carry out raids on kerosense traders in Sangli

Sangli, Maharashtra, May 25 (UNI) The officials of Sangli district supply department have conducted raids on large number kerosene distributors and hawkers and seized their licenses, registrations and incriminating documents.

Sangli district administration sources today said that the raids were carried out simultaneously across the district under the directives of district collector Manisha Mhaiskar yesterday, which continued today.

There are about 1400 kerosene distributors engaged in the district to distribute kerosene to the ration card holders, besides hawkers. The action against the distributiors was initiated following large complaints about irregularities and black-marketing in the distribution, the sources added.
