Sun microsystems and NIIT to announce stategic initiative

New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) Sun microsytems and NIIT will announce a new strategic initiative in India on May 30.

Incorporated in February 1982, Sun microsystems is a global IT major which released high-performance Java Platform 5.0 in 2004. It helped in creating the world's largest data warehouse, topping one trillion rows.

Sun Java technology is used in navigation controls for NASA's Mars Rover and in 1.5 billion mobile phones and other devices. It claims to be the largest business contributor to the global open source community with donation of 1,600 patents.
