Stay on land acquisition vacated

Chandigarh, May 26 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today vacated the stay on over 2000 acres of land acquired by the state government for setting up an industrial and residential estate in Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district of Haryana.

The order vacating the stay was given by the special division bench of Justices Jagdish Singh Khehar and S.N.Aggarwal while disposing of a bunch of petitions preferred against the land situated in village Sankhol.

The bench observed that the planning board of the National Capital Region(NCR) had given its green signal to the proposed setting up the industrial and residential estate and as such the stay on further action in matter need not remain in operation any longer.
