Squall hits Srinagar; several houses damaged

Srinagar, May 26 (UNI) A squall swept through Srinagar city this evening, damaging several houses besides disrupting the power supply to the entire summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

The dust-storm hit the city this evening. The traffic on Srinagar roads came to a standtill for several minutes.

Several houses were damaged and many trees uprooted due to the squall that also affected the power supply to the city.

The weather office here has predicted rains in the entire Valley.
