Pak to release 71 Indian fishermen on May 30
Islamabad, May 26: Pakistan will release 71 Indian fishermen who were arrested after they strayed into its territorial waters, it was officially announced here today.
These fishermen, who are to be released as a goodwill gesture, will be handed over to Indian authorities on May 30 at the Wagha border, said a Foreign ministry statement.
Meanwhile, Pakistani and Indian Home Secretaries will also meet in Islamabad on May 30 to discuss ways to curb drugs smuggling and other important issues including the quick release of other Pakistani and Indian civilian prisoners.
