Konkan railway on itinerary of Netherland varsity team
Panaji, May 26 (UNI) A batch of 27 students of the Netherlands' University of Twente from civil and water engineering and management streams visited the Konkan Railway Corporation office to witness its pioneering and innovative works.
Headed by two professors, the team was acquainted with the route and train operations, anti-collission devices, SkyBus metro at Margao, besides the railway's new project in Jammu and Kashmir's difficult terrain and use of the IT modules in day-to-day operations.
The students showed interest in viewing the KRC operations after witnessing a BBC television feature that highlited the engineering marvels of the corporation, according to release issued here yesterday.
