India fortunate to have best young talents: More

Pune, May 26 (UNI) National Selection Committee Chairman Kiran More today said India is fortunate to have the best young potential talents who have amply justified their place in the Tests as well as in the ODIs.

More, who was here to watch his under-15 academy team taking part in a tournament hosted by the Poona Club at their ground, urged the yound guns of the Indian team to maintain their tempo, saying the graph of ascendency had to be maintained.

The Indian board has chalked out ambitious plans to provide the necessary exposure to the Indian teams, including the under-19 and under-17 teams, from time to time to have continuous flow of talents in the national squad, More added.

When asked on the two reverses suffered by Team India in the ongoing ODI series in the Caribbean, the chairman said it was mainly due to ''mistakes at the crucial moments'' that led to the downfall of the Men in Blue.

As far as the sports tracks are concerned Chennai, Mohali and Mumbai has been singled out, he added.

The former Baroda Ranji skipper has started his own academy since last year which trains 150 boys between the age group of eight to 16.
