Elven takes over Indian subsidiary of US-based AMCC

Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) Elven technologies pvt ltd, an associate company of Aftek Infosys, has acquired 100 per cent equity of the Indian subsidiary of us based Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) based in Bangalore, AMCC technology solutions india pvt ltd, for an undisclosed sum.

The company said Elven will initially provide engineering services to AMCC. This includes VLSI verification and testing of the micro-code for AMCC's network processor and System on Chip (soc), a company release issued here today said.

Armed with this acqusition, elven will soon start offering services for design, verification and testing of VLSI, the release said.

Elven's plans also include developing its own implementable and verification Intellectual Properties (IPs) in high-growth areas like wireless lans and access controllers, RFIDs, storage and others.
