Chautala's brother seeks Abhey's arrest

Chandigarh, May 26 (UNI) Pratap Singh, brother of former Chief Minister and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala, today demanded the arrest of latter's son Abhey Chautala who was booked in connection with the recent murder of an Indian Youth Congress (IYC) leader in Sirsa district.

Mr Pratap Singh, an ex-MLA, also urged the CBI to raid the various premises of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Parkash Singh Badal in Punjab to unearth evidence against Mr Om Prakash Chautala in the disproportionate assets case, alleging the two leaders were ''hand in glove'' with each other.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Singh said Abhey Chautala, booked under sections 302 and 120 of IPC in connection with the murder of Dabwali IYC president Chand Singh Brar, must be arrested immediately to resolve the case.

He also expressed apprehension that the Chautala family might get Pradeep Godara, who was named the chief conspirator in the murder case, eliminated as he was ''privy to their misdeeds.'' Godara, he alleged, was the right hand man of Abhey Chautala and was also aware of the known and benami properties of the Chautala family in India and abroad.
