Army conduct medical camp in Meghalaya
Shillong, May 26 (UNI) A two-day free medical camp of the Army got underway today at Mawphlang, about 27 km from here.
A team of 10 medical officers and one dental officer from the Army rendered services including surgical, medical, optical and gynecological. Free medicines were also distributed among the patients.
A large number of people, including school children, attended the medical camp for check ups. Medical services and advice for pre and postnatal care were provided to the women by female doctors.
Besides, deliberations were made on AIDS.
The medical camp, conducted by the 58 Gorkha Training Centre with support from the Shillong Military Hospital, was inaugurated by Brig T P Madhusudanan, Deputy Director, Medical Services of Headquarters 101 Area.
