APTRANSCO engineer arrested for taking bribe

Machilipatnam, May 26 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested an additional divisional engineer of APTRANSO at Sangadigunta village in Guntur district, when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 3000 from a contractor for doing a work order today.

According to ACB DSP Manohar Reddy, the sleuths on a tip off caught the engineer G Ravikumar red-handed while accepting the bribe.

The accused would be produced before a court in Vijayawada tomorrow, he added.
