Apollo hospital Information Center inaugurated

Itanagar, May 26 : The Apollo Hospital Group has set up an Information Center here to cater to the need of patients seeking sophisticated health care services at its various hospitals across the country.

The Center formally launched today at INJOS complex here would provide all information regarding treatment and facilities of Apollo hospitals at Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Kolkata, besides fixing appointments with doctors before going for treatment.

Talking to UNI, Apollo Hospitals regional information center head Mr S.N.Farid informed that the Center would also offer services like assisting patients at the hospitals, arranging ambulance pick-up for serious patients from railway station and airports, assisting in procuring advices or second opinion for patients and post treatment follow-up cases.

The Apollo Group had already set up three such information centers at Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Jorhat in Assam, Mr Farid informed, adding average patients at these centers ranges between 25 to 30 daily.

The centres also offer services like arranging free accommodation for attendants of patients living below poverty line at Apollo Hospital Hyderabad and assist in transferring money, arranging lifesaving medicines, besides telemedicine consultancy with doctors of Apollo hospitals directly from Guwahati and Dibrugarh.

''This is purely a service oriented venture, launched with the objective to provide information to the patients'', Mr Farid disclosed, while stating that a minimal charge of rupees one to two hundred will be fixed as fee for patients seeking assistance for treatment in these hospitals.

Speaking on the occasion, head of the Itanagar Center Ms Komoli Mosang expressed hope that the center would be able to cater to the need of the people of the state, specially those living in interior and far-flung areas.
