34 Maoists arrested in Bihar
Aurangabad, May 26 (UNI) Altogether 34 CPI(Maoists) activists were arrested recently during a special drive, launched by the police to curb extremist activities in the district.
District Magistrate Virendra Bahadur Pandey said here today that the raids were launched all over the district to nab the extremists.
He said hardcore naxalite Subedar Yadav was among other activists nabbed by police.
More than 60 cases were pending against Subedar in Bihar and Jharkhand, he added.
Huge cache of firearms, including seven countrymade rifles, one revolver, a countrymade stengun, a pistol and several live cartridges besides explosives were recovered during the special drive, he informed.
