Woman dies as doctors rally in Bikaner
Bikaner, May 25 (UNI) A woman died in Bikaner's PBM hospital here today as doctors could not attend on her due to the reservation rally.
The woman identified as Shakila, 28, gave birth at midnight yesterday and her relatives admitted her to the hospital after her condition became critical.
Shakila's relatives now charge the hospital authorities with negligence of duty as no doctors were present to attend her today as her condition deteriorated.
PBM hospital's principal Dr S B Punia said the doctors reservation rally and doctors not being present on duty has no relation with Shakila's death.
However, as Shakila's relatives created a furore in the hospital, a three-member team has been constituted to investigate Shakila's death, which will submit its report within three days.
The newborn is, however, healthy.
