Suryanarayana's 'second wife' gives up dharna

Hyderabad, May 25(UNI)Swapna, claiming herself to be the second wife of Hyderabad based Indian engineer Suryanarayana, who was killed by the Taliban in Afghanisthan, called off her four-day-old dharna today.

According to sources, Swapna gave up the agitation after Suryanaraya's father Chandrasekhar suffered a heart attack.There was no one in the house.

Besides, Swapna's own health condition was also deteriorating, the sources added.

Swapna had embarked on the agitation in front of the slain engineer's house demanding a share in the compensation received by Suryanarayana's family and a respectable position for her and her eight-month-old daughter.

Swapna, however, told newspersons that she has given up the agitation only temporarily and added she would continue the legal battle.

Swapna suddenly surfaced after the news about the killing of Suryanarayana broke out and claimed to be his second wife.

Suryanarayana's father Chandrasekhar, however, said he was not aware that his son had a second wife.

Swapna came to Hyderabad from Warangal district with about 100 of her supporters and relatiives and embarked on the dharna in a tent in front of Chandrasekhar's house.
