Sugar price recovers on heavy demand

Navi Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Sugar prices recovered on heavy demand, traders said here today.

Sugar rates of ex-mill small and medium grades rose by Rs 15 and Rs 25 per quintal, respectively, on lesser stock supply.

Small grade and medium grade prices went up by Rs 10 and Rs five, respectively, on better buying support.

Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,880/1,935, medium grade Rs 1,906/1,970.

Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,865/1,895 and medium grade Rs 1,905/1,930.
