Sri Lanka win toss and bat first v England

BIRMINGHAM, England, May 25 (Reuters) Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first in the second test against England at Edgbaston today.

England named an unchanged team from the first test at Lord's which was drawn last week.

Sri Lanka included opener Michael Vandort and pace bowler Lasith Malinga and dropped Jehan Mubarak and Chamara Kapugedera.

Teams: England: Andrew Flintoff (captain), Andrew Strauss, Marcus Trescothick, Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Geraint Jones, Liam Plunkett, Sajid Mahmood, Matthew Hoggard, Monty Panesar.

Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Upul Tharanga, Michael Vandort, Kumar Sangakarra, Thilan Samaraweera, Tillekeratne Dilshan, Chaminda Vaas, Farveez Maharoof, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Kulasekera, Muttiah Muralitharan.
