Sical to spend Rs 50 cr on fleet acquisition
Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Sical Logistics today announced a major expansion of its road transportation operations for bulk and containerised cargo.
The company is set to spend Rs 50 crore in the current fiscal on the acquisition of trucks and other related expenditure relating to road transportation, a company release here today said.
Further, the company said will be adding 80 vehicles, primarily double-axle trucks and tankers, in the immediate term, and 300 vehicles in FY-07. Currently, Sical's existing house fleet consists of 320 vehicles.
The fleet expansion comes on the back of recent increased business from major customers like Caltex, Tamil Nadu Petrochemicals, Pepsi India and Shell India.
