PRM hold demostration against round table conference
Jammu, May 25 (UNI) Peoples Revolutionary Movement (PRM) today held a rally and later protest demonstration against Prime Minister's Round Table Conference being held in Srinagar.
The protestors alleged that undue importance was being given to All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and Jammu and Ladakh regions were being ignored.
About 300 activists of PRM took out a procession from Exhibition Ground to City Chowk raising anti-PM slogans.
The procession culminated at the City Chowk where protestors burnt the effigy of Dr Manmohan Singh alleging that Centre was ignoring the ''ground realities'' in the state.
Addressing the protestors president PRM, Rajinder Jamwal said that solution of the J&K issue lies in reorganisation of the state but PM was stressing on solutions like autonomy and self-rule, which have been rejected by the majority of people in the state.
He said Pakistan sponsored terrorists were targeting Jammu region and trying to create communal rift.
People of J&K in particular and India in general would not allow second partition of the country to appease a sectyion of people, Mr Jamwal added.
He further said the ''genuine representatives'' have been ignored in the Round Table Conference while Centre was sparing no effort to invite APHC and other separatist groups.
