Pawan Hans buys two more helicopters

New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd has signed an agreement with Eurocopter for purchase of two Dauphin AS 365N3 helicopters.

The choppers are being purchased through company's internal resources and will be inducted by the end of current financial year.

Pawan Hans currently has a fleet of six Dauphin AS 365 N3 and 17 Dauphin SA 365N helicopters. With acquisition of two more Dauphin N3s, the fleet strength will be enhanced to 35 helicopters.

Meanwhile, the government-owned company resumed helicopter services to the holy shrine of Kedarnath from May 10 by a five-seater Bell 407 helicopter from Augustmuni in collaboration with Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Uttaranchal state government.

It has now increased the number of flights from four to six from today. The fare is Rs 9,900 per passenger for the round trip (Augustmuni-Kedarnath-Augustmuni) inclusive of priority darshan.
