One year in prison for post office staff
New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) A CBI court today sentenced a post office official to one year in prison for demanding a bribe of Rs 700.
Special CBI Judge Sunil Gaur passed the order against Sohinder Singh Gulati, a Public Relations Inspector posted at Janakpuri post office, who was caught accepting the bribe red handed from the field officer of a private company in September, 1993.
He had been sent to ascertain facts about the factory for issuance of an export-import code.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 13,000 on him.
