Officials of DTTDC wine shop arrested in excise duty evasion case

New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Two officials of the DTTDC wine shop in Karol Bagh have been arrested and a case has been registered against many others for indulging in an organised racket on evasion of excise duty in which excise officials and retail wine vendors are involved.

The Anti Corruption branch of the Delhi Government also arrested yesterday the assistant manager of the shop Bharat Kumar Soni in the case. The marketing assistant of the shop has already been arrested in the case.

Both were arrested for their involvement in excise duty evasion and produced before the court of special judge ACB who remanded them to judicial custody till June 2.

An FIR has also been filed against excise inspector R N Tyagi, Bond Attorney Shyam Sunder and others in the case.
