Mumbai serial bomb blast accused booked under NDPS Act

Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Police today booked an undertrial in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psycotropic Substances (NDPS) Act following the recovery of charas capsule from his possession.

Jail authorities on a routine search found 770 mg of charas in the possession of Manoj Bhuvarilal Gupta, who is lodged in the Arthur Road Jail for the past 13 years.

Gupta, who was arrested by the N M Joshi Marg police, has been booked under the NDPS act and was produced before a special court today, which however granted only four hours' police custody to Gupta.
