MP to launch mobile health clinics

Bhopal, May 25 (UNI) A novel health service ''mobile health clinic'' will be launched in selected tribal blocks in Madhya Pradesh to overcome the shortage of health care centres and health staff in interior areas.

Initially, 11 tribal blocks spread over in as many districts will be covered by the scheme to be formally launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here tomorrow. Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj will also be present.

The mobile clinic, functional for six days a week, will be manned by a doctor, nurse and a compounder. Each vehicle will be equipped with facilities for antenatal and post-partem tests, malaria tests and T B detection, besides immunisation of women and children.

The clinics, to be named as Deen Dayal Arogya Raths, will provide the facilities of medical examination, treatment, consultation and medicines free of cost.
