Konkan Railway impresses Dutch students, professors
New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Students and professors from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, who are on a study tour of Konkan Railway Corporation, have evinced keen interest in pursuing projects/research work in the establishment.
The team, consisting of 27 students from civil engineering, water engineering and management disciplines and led by two professors visited the Konkan Railway Corporation recently.
A presentation was made by the officials of the Corporation which included Konkan Railway route and train operations, anti-collision device, sky bus metro, management of all railway activities through IT applications in Konkan Railway, the new rail line project in Jammu&Kashmir etc.
The students were impressed by the innovative solutions offered by the Corporation in the field of civil and transport engineering.
