Kamal Nath asks Deshmukh to refund levies on export

Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Union Commerce and Industries Minister Kamal Nath today asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh to work out a plan in which all the levies and taxes on export products might be refunded.

''Investment has become highly competitive and a progressive state like Maharashtra should take some lead role on this front also,'' Mr Nath told reporters here today.

''I have told Mr Deshmukh that they should work out a plan in which these levies and taxes on export products would be refunded,'' the Minister added.
