Income Tax Dept raids Aneja Foods

Amritsar, May 25 (UNI) The Income Tax department today raided the offices and residence of Madan Lal Aneja, owner of Aneja Foods in Ludhiana, Pathankot, Jammu, Jalandhar and Amritsar.

Income Tax Commissioner Kuldeep Singh said, ''No more details can be given at this stage as raids are in progress.'' More than six dozen officers are carrying the raids, he added.

Mr Aneja, who is a municipal councilor and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, under the brand name of Sifty, deals in milk products.
