IMA joins protest against reservation in Surat
Surat, May 25 (UNI) Expressing its solidarity to the medical students' agitation against reservation in higher education sector, Indian Medical Association, Surat chapter today organised a one-day rally to the district collectorate office here and submitted a memorandum.
The office bearers of IMA said that due to this, doctors with private hospitals boycotted work today.
The doctors associated with IMA said, in a memorandum to the President, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi, the Union government must withdraw its proposed recommendation of 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Castes in the government funded institutions.
