HP Cabinet clears Ski Village project
Shimla, May 25 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet today approved the 300 million dollars Ski Village project in Kullu district of the state after accepting the detailed project report (DPR) submitted by Himalayan Ski Village Project, official sources said.
The ski village project, being set up by Alfred Ford, great grandson of Henry Ford, was coming up at the famous tourism resort of Manali and would be the biggest foreign direct investment in the country.
The sources said the Cabinet meeting, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, gave its approval for the adoption of the new Himachal Pradesh Medicinal Plants Policy for exploiting and promoting the herb potential of the state and make Himachal a major herbal state by 2025.
The Cabinet approved upward revision in the daily allowance of the state government employees, the sources said, adding that it has now been increased from a minimum of Rs 32 to Rs 48 to a maximum of Rs 180 from Rs 120.
The meeting also approved the Himachal Pradesh Societies Registration Act by repealing Registration Act, 1860 and also approved the H.P. Agriculture and Horticulture Produce Marketing (General) Rules, 2006 and HP Agriculture and Horticulture Marketing (Financial) Rules, 2006.
