HCL Infosystems launches 'leaptops' for defence

Kolkata, May 25: HCL Infosystems today launched 'leaptops', specially designed for defence personnel, with 'on-move' chargeability and backlit keyboards to enable work in pitch-dark conditions.

A company release said here today that this segment-specific laptop would handle the severest natural and man-made vagaries.

The defence leaptop is conceived, designed, manufactured and tested in-house to handle the severest natural and man-made vagaries.

The leaptop would work in any environmental situation, even in rain, snow, dirt, dust, heat, cold, vibrations and shock. The leaptop has a number of built-in antennas for all kinds of wireless communication on the go, the release said.

Besides defence applications, these leaptops can also be used during other highly-demanding applications such as mining areas, oil exploration sites, construction sites, automobile manufacturing shop floors.

HCL Infosystems have also designed other segment-specific leaptops, catering to exclusive requirements of architects, corporate executives, doctors, lawyers and spectrum of other segments.
