Bihars senior scribe dies

Patna, May 25 (UNI) Senior journalist Kedar Singh died at Biharsharif in Nalanda district today. He was 74.

Mr Singh died following protracted illness. He is survived by his wife, nine sons and two daughters.

He was associated with UNI for nearly 30 years. Prior to joining the news agency, he had also a stint with 'Samachar Bharti'.

Mr Singh also served as district correspondent for Akashvani, Pradeep, Hindustan, Searchlight, Sannamarg and Vishwamitra during his long journalistic carrer.

His feveral rites would be performed at bank of Ganga river at Barh in Patna district tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Bihar Working Journalists Union General Secretary Ravi Upadhayaya condoled the death of Mr. Singh and observed that he always maintained high standards of journalistic values through out his career.
