AIEEE 2006 counselling begins from June 19

New Delhi, May 25 (UNI) Admissions to 20 National Institute of Technology (NITs), four Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other centrally-funded institutions and deemed universities will be made on the basis of merit/rank secured by studetns in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2006, results of which were declared yesterday.

The institutes would include Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Ranchi, Mata Vaishno Devi University, School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, besides outside Delhi seats in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, a Central Counselling Board statement said today.

The central counselling would be conducted in two phases -- phase I would begin on June 19 and continue till June 24 whereas phase II would be conducted at 16 centres from June 28 to July 7.
