UNI journalist gets state award
Mumbai, May 24 (UNI) Mr M P Joshi, UNI correspondent from Aurangabad, has been chosen for the Maharashtra government's Anant Gopal Shevde award for the best journalist for the year 2003.
The award comprises Rs 21,000 in cash, a citation and a certificate of appreciation.
The list of award winners was announced by Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh at the post-Cabinet press briefing here today.
The other award winners are Pramod Bhaskarrao Kulkarni (Gaokari, Deogiri Tarun Bharat) from Beed district. He has bagged the Balshastri Jambhekar award for the year 2003 comprising cash prize of Rs 41,000, a citation and an appreciation certificate.
The Baburao Vishnu Paradkar award has gone to Sanjay Gulabchand Joshi of Pratidin Akhbar from Amravati. The award carries cash prize of Rs 21,000, a citation and an appreciation certificate.
Shrikant Beni of C-News Nashik has won the P L Deshpande award for best journalist from electronic media. The cash prize is Rs 21,000.
Rajendra Sarag, district information officer in Beed, has won the Y B Chavan award which carries a cash prize of Rs 21,000. Prakash Sawant of Marathi daily Navshakti has won the Acharya Atre best journalist award.
