Two special courts for Shahabuddin's trial
Patna, May 24 (UNI) The Bihar Law Department would issue an order tomorrow regarding starting of trial against controversial RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin in the special courts set up inside the Siwan divisional jail.
Shahabuddin is an accused in several cases, including possession of foreign make firearms, foreign currency, theft of power and others.
State Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah told newspersons here that the order would contain besides other details, the date fixed for the beginning of hearing of cases against Shahaubddin.
He said two courts - a court of judicial magistrate and a sessions court would be set up inside the Siwan divisional jail for hearing cases involving the RJD MP.
A special prosecutor would also be appointed for speedy trial of cases, he added.
Mr Amanullah said the departmental proceedings would be initiated against the jail superintendent of Siwan divisional jail as he shifted few prisoners to jails of Gopalganj and Chapra, an act which violated the jail manual.
