Three people killed in bus accident near Badrinath

Dehradun, May 24 (UNI) Three people were killed and 11 injured in a bus accident at Chamoli district.

Chamoli DM Ajay singh Nabiyal told UNI that bus going to Badrinath from Joshimath met with an accident last night near Badrinath when its driver tried to negotiate it from a falling boulder, instantly killing one.

Two of the passengers sucummbed to their injuries at Hospital.

eight of the injured, two of them seriously, have been reffered to Joshimath hospital.

Bodies have been sent for autopsy, DM said.

Chief Minister N D Tiwari expressed his condolence and ordered magisterial enquiry into the accident and offered financial assistance as per the norms. The Chief Minister has further issued order to District Administrations, police and transport department to ensure strict compliance of traffic rules and provision of alternative driving on long routes.
