Rainfall occurred at most of the places in the State

Bangalore, May 24 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Deodurg 6, Agumbe, H D Kote 4 each, Lingasugur, Chikmagalur 3 each, Mani, Udupi, B Bagewadi, Nalwatwad, Manvi, Raichur 2 each, Bantwal, Mangalore, Gadag, Munirabad, Muddebihal, Sindhanur, Nanjangud, Sandur, Hospet, Sargur 1 each. Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 40.1 degree celsius over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka and Kodagu, Shimoga, Hassan and Chikmagalur districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
