Power sharing issue in TN will be sorted out: Cong

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) The Congress today said it was not a major issue whether or not the party would share power with the DMK in Tamil Nadu, but what was important was good governance for the people of the state.

''We are not for sharing power but nterested in giving good governance,'' Congres Spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan, while briefing media persons here, said.

''The high command of both the Congress and the DMK will sort out the issue of sharing power,'' she said, referring to the resolution passed by the State PCC calling for power sharing with the Karunanidhi Government.

Ms Natrajan said the Congress and the DMK had fought the assembly elections together to unseat ''the anti-people Government of J Jaylalithaa''. The performance of the UPA Government and its Ministers from the State was an important factor in the victory of the DPA alliance, including the Congress, as the promises made to the people were fulfilled.

The DPA, she said, would give a good government to the people of Tamil Nadu and fulfil all the promises made to them.
