Navy Chief presents gallantry awards

Visakhapatnam, May 24 (UNI) Naval Chief Admiral Arun Prakash presented the President's gallantry and distinguished service awards to 42 naval officers and others ranks in a grand investiture ceremony here today.

Nao Sena Medal for Gallantry and Devotion to Duty, Vishist Seva Medals, Jeevan Raksha Padak, the V K Jain Memorial Gold Medal and Ravi Dhir Memoral Gold Medals were presented to the Navy personnel.

Besides, three other medals in recognition of innovativeness, flight safety and acts of life saving were also given away by the Naval Chief, a release said.

Eastern Naval Commands Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral Sureesh Mehta was also presents in the investiture ceremony.
