Mridula Bhatkar takes charge of MCOCA court
Mumbai, May 24 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge Mridula R Bhatkar has taken over as designated judge of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court here.
She replaces MCOCA Judge Ashok Bhangale, who was transferred on May three to Motor Accident Tribunal court, court sources said.
Prior to this, she was the additional sessions judge handling the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cases.
She presided over more than 40 sensitive cases which included the trial of twin bomb blast case of 2003 and the controversial Sara and Sahara case.
