MP Sanskrit Board paper leak

Bhopal, May 24 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Sanskrit Board's 10th standard Mathematics question paper leaked out on May 20 in Chhatarpur district town and the examination was postponed to June 6.

Board sources told UNI here yesterday that the test was scheduled between 1400 and 1700 hrs on May 20 but the paper leaked at 1300 hrs.

More than 60,000 candidates are appearing for the Board's 8th, 10th and 12th exams that began on May 20 and would conclude on June 10. This is a sizeable spurt compared to the 2005 figure of 12,000 and 2004 figure of about 3,500.

''In some centres, the number of candidates exceeds that of paper copies and they have to be consequently photocopied an hour before the tests' commencement.

Seven cheating cases came to light in the district so far. With a view to checking that, government teachers have been deputed, at 80 per cent centres, substituting private ones,'' Chhatarpur District Education Officer S P Singh Bisen told UNI Team-AC AD RN0419
