Medicos unwilling to relent, continue strike
Ahmedabad, May 24 (UNI) Agitating medical students and junior doctors continued their agitation on the tenth day today in opposition to the government's move to implement 27 per cent OBC reservation in higher educational institutions.
Information Cell set up at the B J Medical college here told UNI that the medicos in various medical colleges in Ahmedabad began their 48 hours relay fast from this morning.
The agitating junior doctors of B J Medical college today also performed 'arti', 'havan' and 'yajnas' to invoke divine support against reservation in higher educational institutions.
Total 26 students and junior doctors have participated in the relay fast. They will be replaced by another batch of doctors and students on Friday morning.
The junior doctors will organise another havan at the campus tomorrow morning.
Some students and doctors are going to New Delhi to express their solidarity at the nation-wide agitation.
