Kidnapped SSB jawans remain untraced for third day

Guwahati, May 24 (UNI) Five kidnapped SSB jawans remained untraced for the third day today even after combined search operation by Asom police and Para Military forces in Udalguri, bordering Bhutan.

Suspected National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) activists reportedly kidnapped the SSB personnel from Mora Dhansiri village under Rowta Police outpost in Udalguri district on Monday, official sources said.

However, the NDFB, in a release, denied their involvement in the kidnapping.

The body of one civilian-Babul Kalita, who was also kidnapped, was later found in the nearby area.
