Investments in SSIs and Medium scale industries only future:IIA
Kanpur, May 24 (UNI) The Indian Industries Association President Tarun Kshetrapal said here today that investments in the small scale and Medium scale industries would help generate more employments as well as revenue for the state government.
Talking to UNI after taking over as President of IIA for the second time, Mr Kshetrapal said that the Uttar Pradesh government has announced number of steps to encourage the largescale industries, which could invest more than Rs.100 crores in the state, but ignored 1,36,000 industries in the small scale and medium sector. This sector was generating huge employment and giving several hundred crores as revenue to the state government. The Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has once again ignored these industries which were producing variety of products including the exportable goods, he said adding that if government gave such assistance to those industrialists, it could help to solve the problems of unemployment.
He said it is the duty of the state government to encourage the industrialists to invest in the state and discourage the arrival of foreign products in the country.
