Gale-force winds lash Bhopal at 80 kmph; one dead
Bhopal, May 24 (UNI) Squalls and rain continued to lash Madhya Pradesh today and calimed one life in the city area.
A 40-year-old woman was buried under a wall which collapsed in the state capital's Devaki Nagar area this evening.
Reports said trees were uprooted and roofs blown off by gale-force winds lashing at 80 kmph and recorded 15.5 mm precipitation.
A met department official said the cyclonic circulation over the state's north-eastern part had diminished but a circulation, which developed over coastal Orissa, would result in further squalls and showers at some palces over the next 24 hours.
Bhopal recorded a high and low of 36.4 and 22.6 degree celsius.
The maximum was 41.8 in Gwalior, three notches higher than yesterday.
