FIIs withdraw USD 1.342 bn from Indian markets in seven sessions

Mumbai, May 24 (UNI) Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued to be big sellers on the Indian equity market with net selling worth USD 1.342 billion or Rs 6,030.20 crore in the last seven trading sessions since May 16, as per data released by market regulator SEBI.

On May 23, when BSE Sensex gained 341 points, FIIs were net sellers of stocks worth Rs 1,243 crore or USD 276 million.

With Sensex losing another 250 points today, more foreign fund outflow in today's trade could be anticipated.

Markets may see sharp fall tomorrow due to huge foreign fund outflow from the Indian equity markets in the last seven trading sessions.
