Federation Cup from tomorrow

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) The Federation Cup boxing championship will be held at Railway Recreation Club (RRC) grounds here from tomorrow.

The four-day event was being organised by Ranga Reddy District Boxing Association under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Amateur Boxing Association and the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation, according to tournament director A K Karunakaran.

Speaking to media, Karunakaran said top pugilists including Commonwealth Games gold medallist Akhil Kumar (bantamweight) and silver medallist Virender (Lt welter) and others would be seen in action.

Indian probables for the Doha Asian Games would be picked based on the performance in this championship.
