Day temperatures rise in North East

Pune, May 24 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, coastal Orissa and in some parts of South Tamil Nadu.

They were above normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Saurashtra, North Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka.

They were appreciably below normal in interior Orissa, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Telangana, and were below normal in some parts of Marathwada.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at many places in East Madhya Pradesh and North interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gaangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
