Congress seeks Guvs intervention on govt. 'failure'
Patna, May 24 (UNI) The Congress today launched a frontal attack on the six month NDA government in Bihar by seeking Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhis intervention in view of the governments 'failures' on all fronts.
The state Congress also staged a 'Mahadharna' beside the statute of Mahatma Gandhi in Gandhi Maidan in protest against the 'failures' of the Nitish Kumar government which took the seat of power on promise of providing 'Sushashan' (good governance).
A delegation of Congress leaders, led by state Congress president Sadanand Singh, sumitted a memorandum to Principal Secretary to the Governor, R.J.M. Pillay as Mr Gandhi was not here.
Addressing the 'Mahadharna', Mr. Singh said the Nitish Kumar government was 'directionless' lacking vision for development. He said the situation had worsened during the last six months as the number of murders was 3400, while that of kidnapping was 1800 and rapes 2600.
